The Sarah Sheppard Choir was an international group performing in the last years of the last century and in the first ten years of this century. It was a Gospel Choir made up of around 40 choristers who generally performed together with the Sarah Sheppard Ensemble. It was under the Sarah Sheppard Spirituals Association.
It was composed of people from various nations and performed European and North American music. Its repertoire principally consisted of spirituals and gospels, and music by Anglo-Saxon composers.
Until 2010 group rehearsals and other activities took place at the Sala Diana Franceschi, in Villa Aldrovandi Mazzacorati (Via Toscana 19, Bologna) which was run by the Comune di Bologna.
